My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Garfield, a loving and sweet yellow and white kitten in search of his forever home! He was found in a yard with his four siblings and their mother. Fortunately, they were rescued and given a chance at a better life. While their mom has already found a loving home, Garfield and his siblings are now ready to find theirs!
Garfield has a gentle nature and adores other animals, especially his siblings. As they’ve all warmed up to people, they’re excited to share their love with a new family. It’s important to note that Garfield and his siblings are FeLV positive. This means they carry a virus that can weaken their immune systems. However, many cats with FeLV live long and healthy lives without significant issues.
Despite his condition, Garfield’s lively spirit remains unaffected, and because of his FeLV status, his adoption fee has been waived! Since they are FeLV positive, it’s essential that they are kept as indoor-only cats and that they are the only cats in the home to prevent spreading the virus. Rest assured, FeLV is not contagious to other pets, like dogs, and as long as any other cats in the home are also FeLV positive, there’s nothing to worry about.
If you’re considering adopting two kittens, think about welcoming both Garfield and one of his siblings into your home. They’ll bring endless joy and companionship to your lives!
**Adoptions are by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, please fill out an application online on our website, and someone will contact you.**
**All cats and kittens adopted from the Boone Area Humane Society must be kept as indoor-only pets and cannot be declawed.**
**All cats are spayed or neutered, FeLV tested, and microchipped. They are also dewormed and receive age-appropriate vaccinations.**
