Hi! I’m Shivers, and I may be tiny, but I’ve got a huge personality. I’m a playful, energetic puppy who loves toys—especially the squeaky ones—and I get so excited for playtime with the other dogs in my foster home. Big dogs, small dogs, young or old…I love them all.
I’m still learning about manners, like what I should and shouldn’t chew on, but I respond really well to redirection and I try hard to make good choices. I’m also working on crate training and potty training, and I’m already making great progress with a routine. I do get a little nervous when left alone, but my cozy kennel, toys, and the sound of a TV help me feel safe.
I might shake a little when I first meet you—that’s how I got the name Shivers—but once I warm up, I’m cuddly, silly, and full of affection. I love to play hide and seek, squeeze myself into funny little hiding spots, and snuggle up for attention.
I am very food-motivated (training is extra fun because of that!), but I also have some food reactivity. I’ll guard my food and even my bowl, so I need a home that can feed me separately and pick up bowls after meals. Because of this, I’d do best in a home without small children.
I’m a sweet, loving hound puppy with so much potential. All I need is someone patient, consistent, and ready to help me keep growing into the awesome dog I’m meant to be. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate little guy who will follow you everywhere and keep life exciting, I can’t wait to meet you.
My adoption fee of $100 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?
If you`d like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org.
Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, you’re welcome to walk in anytime between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Please note that we’re closed for adoptions on Sundays and Mondays
