Whisper is a beautiful gray and white kitten with a gentle spirit and a heart-melting personality that was born in April of 2025. Whisper is bonded with her brother Rivet so they are a package deal! True to her name, she’s soft, sweet, and loves to show affection with her signature move: the nose boop. One gentle tap from her and you’ll be instantly smitten. At first meeting, she is a little shy but, considering her backstory, that's not surprising.
This brave girl has already overcome a big challenge in her young life. After a badly broken elbow, Whisper had to have her left front leg removed — but don’t worry; she certainly isn’t. She moves with confidence, grace, hopping up onto her cat tree and her foster mom’s lap with ease. Whisper is living proof that three legs are more than enough for cuddles, playtime, and a full kitten life.

Cat Tales Rescue NC is the nonprofit rescue arm of Cat Tales Cat Cafe, which provides a unique and invaluable avenue for adoptions. The Cat Cafe environment allows us to get to know each cat and adopter individually enabling us to set adopters up for success which leads to happier adoptions. Even previously overlooked cats get a chance to shine at the café. At the Cat Cafe, cats get adopted quickly, which allows us to be efficient and cost effective, but most importantly, cause the least amount of stress on the cats.
