My name is Mesquite!

Sweet Mesquite is a shy young kitty who is slowly but surely learning how kind people can be. He purrs easily with some chin and head scritches, and he is very excited about meals. His favorite hobby is playing with toys with other cats. In fact, he hasn’t yet met a cat whom he doesn’t like, and he would be happiest in a home with at least one playful feline buddy.

He wants to be in the same room as you, but he won’t get in your lap or bother you while you’re working. He is content with a few head scratches whenever you happen to pass by him. He also likes to sleep at the foot of the bed, but he doesn’t want to be on top of you. At most, he might drape himself over an ankle or snuggle up to a foot.

Mesquite is a bit of a worrywart and he's a little skittish about people moving around him. It may take him a little longer than usual to adapt to a new home, but with a little patience and maybe a few treats and play sessions, he will warm up and be a quiet, sweet addition to your family.
