My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

INTRODUCING MOCHI!

If you love a lazy, large, and laid back cat, then Mochi is your guy! Our big buddy Mochi is large and completely uninterested in being in charge. In fact, the thought of having to do more than play with toys and relax is totally out of his realm of thought. His desires in life are super simple: a little playtime, a whole lot of snooze time, and all the butt-scratch time! Unlike his shape, his demands are not hefty. He is just a thicc king looking for his throne!

Although Mochi is only 2 years old, he has the activity level of a kitty many multiples of his age. He is a super simple guy - food, a comfy bed, and a few stuffed toys and he is as happy as can be! Mochi is such a calm and sweet guy, it`s no wonder he`s a volunteer favorite here at the shelter! Despite his size, he is totally fine being carried around, especially if there are some treats at the end of the journey! Mochi would most likely wind up sleeping at the foot of your bed or on a plush spot near you, so be prepared for company!

Mochi is up to date on vaccines, FIV/FeLV negative, neutered, and current on prevention. All he needs is a relatively large spot on your couch!

Complete an online application and get pre-approved to adopt at https://www.cognitoforms.com/YorkCountyAnimalControl/PetAdoptionSurvey. Once you complete the app, a staff member will call you in 1-2 business days once approved to set up a time for you to meet the pet you are interested in.

Every adoptable pet is Spayed or Neutered, implanted with a microchip, current on age appropriate vaccinations including a current 1 year Rabies Vaccination, and current on monthly Flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention for dogs. All pets are behaviorally and medically evaluated prior to being placed up for adoption. Adoptions are matched based on best placement and require no negative animal history.
