Bonnie Mae was in foster care and we learned so much about her! It was a full house with other pets, and while Bonnie Mae tolerated them, she may prefer to be either an only child or just have one feline or canine friend. She has perfect litter box manners and doesn't make a mess! Her favorite time of day is breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bonnie takes her meals seriously and will meow to remind you "it's time". She does need a little decompression time. After which she can be very affectionate and cuddly. Bonnie Mae is looking for her forever home today!
I am a DHC, and I have my own webpage: http://www.desperatehousecats.info/flyers/BonnieMae6396.pdf The adoption fee is waived for Bonnie Mae and all Desperate Housecats!

Our shelter has more than 500 available cats and dogs every day! For pets at the shelter: Adoptions must be completed in-person at the shelter. AAC is open for adoption walk-ins every day from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. A shelter pet’s availability can change at any time, so we recommend choosing a few favorites. For pets in foster: Go to www.AustinAnimalCenter.org to find the pet's profile and click that pet's pink “Adopt Me” button. This will prompt you to complete an adoption questionnaire. Submitting an application does not hold the animal for you.
We have dozens of animals that won't be listed online yet because they're still in their stray hold period, but can be pre-adopted at the shelter in case their owner doesn't come for them.
Adoption Fees:
$80 cats up to 6 years old
$80 dogs 6 months to 6 years, 30 lbs and up
$100 kittens up to 6 months
$120 dogs under 30 lbs and/or under 6 months
No fee for senior pets 7 years and older
