Meet Pepper!
Pepper is a 7 year old Australian Shepherd who recently came to FDHS with her best friend Ginger (also available) after their previous owner could no longer care for them. Pepper is having a tough time settling into the busy shelter environment and is hoping to find a peaceful place to land soon.
She does best in calm, predictable spaces and would be happiest in a home without young children or lots of noise. Pepper prefers quieter, low-key dogs, has not lived with cats, and can be uneasy around men. With time and patience, she has already started to warm up to our male kennel attendants.
Pepper is an incredibly smart girl and was used to regular grooming in her last home. With a steady routine, reassurance, and a little space to decompress, she’ll show you just how wonderful she is.
She would love nothing more than a cozy home and someone to love her!

*Vet reference- will call vet and verify you are a client
*Current pets- must be up to date on vaccinations
*If renting- will contact landlord to verify can have pets
