My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tempo!
Tempo is a charming grey-and-white kitty with a curious spirit and a playful heart. He loves exploring his surroundings, batting at toys, and discovering new hiding spots—everything is an adventure for this little guy. Tempo also enjoys being around people and is always ready to trot over for attention or join you in whatever you’re doing.

If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate companion who will bring energy and joy into your home, Tempo is ready to keep the beat with you. Come meet him and see if he’s the perfect rhythm your life has been missing!

Anytime during open hours, no appointment needed. We also house adoptable cats at the Horseheads and Ithaca PetSmarts as well as Sondra's City Zoo in Elmira. Every other month, we alternate off-site adoption events between IRFCU in Sayre, PA and the Williamsport PetSmart.

More about this shelter

Our lifesaving mission envisions a community that promotes turning compassion into action for dogs and cats by adopting healthy animals into loving homes, promoting the human-animal bond through outreach, education and advocacy, spaying and neutering to end the suffering of overpopulation and to improve public health and the humane and compassionate treatment of all animals.
