To know Roxy is to love Roxy! This medium sized Pittie mix puppy is exuberant. It’s no wonder when a gang of college girls found her as an emaciated stray they made her their special project. They took her to the vet, where she was incredibly popular and eventually convinced one of the girls’ moms to foster her.
Roxy is such an enthusiastic gal she would do best with another playful dog. We think a low energy or elderly dog might find her a bit annoying, but we LOVE her spirit! She’d be fine as an only dog as long as her adopter has the time and energy for walks and playtime. Roxy would make an incredible running or hiking buddy! She’s delightful in public so she’d also be a great brewery buddy. Honestly, we couldn’t love this sweet gal anymore. Her enthusiasm and joy for life is infectious.

The adoption process involves several steps because we want to avoid returns, as they are stressful for both the adopter and the dog. Shelters are unable to screen applicants as thoroughly and can have return rates as high as 20%. We aim to keep our return rates below 5%.
