My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We have had Kona since she was 5 months old. She is now 9 yrs old. She is a sweet girl but in her old age has recently become aggressive with our second dog. We now have two small children and are unable to keep her with the potential safety risk she imposes for them. It breaks our heart to see her have to be rehomed in her old age but for her safety, the safety of our other dog and most importantly our children- this is what is best for Kona.
Kona’s ideal home would be without other dogs or children. She is great with small animals (birds, cats, fish, chickens etc.) we have had all of these animals throughout her lifetime and she has done very well.
Kona is bike trained and loves to go on bike rides, long walks, hikes and the beach. Her favorite toys are a tennis ball and Frisbee. She is still very active in her old age and would do well with someone who enjoys the outdoors but also likes to cuddle in the evenings. She’s primarily indoors overnight but can be outside during the day.
