My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nacho is a loving and affectionate kitty. He's an easygoing guy - interactive and playful, but also independent. His beautiful orange fur coat (the color on this picture doesn't do it justice) is set off by lovely green eyes.

Nacho was left behind on the property when previous owners moved; he then had to fend for himself through the winter and heat for almost a year. He was on his own except for a little food and water left by neighbors. When a new owner moved in, she took him in and has cared for him since.

Nacho wishes to be friends with his new owner's two other longtime cats - but they aren't having it. He has not shown any unfriendly behavior to them but the two girls don't want him around. Otherwise his new owner would love to keep this friendly boy.

If you're looking for a sweet kitty who has lots of love and companionship to give - consider Nacho! He would love to find a forever family who will be able to give him the home he deserves to have.

Nacho is a courtesy listing through RAIN; he is still living in his own home and not at RAIN. For more information please contact:

RAIN Thrift store is open daily at the address above. Adopters can meet the pets there that are currently available for adoption. We're in the process of setting up with other websites to add our photos to expand coverage for our adoptable pets.

More about this rescue

Rescued Animals In Need is a no kill organization whose main focus is rescuing lost, abandoned, abused, neglected or unwanted animals and helping them find their forever homes. We work hard to reduce the number of unwanted dogs and cats by providing education and financial assistance (when available) for spay/neuter programs to help prevent unwanted and uncontrolled pregnancies for animals in our communities. Including a program for the voiceless and often ignored feral cats. We have full non-profit 501(c)3 status with the State of California.
