Meet the Pet
Take the Pet Home
This helps Saving Great Animals with pet care costs.
Meet Cate!
Cate is a sweet Chi mix who is loving, relatively quiet, brave, well behaved and fun to have around. Cate has done well living in an adult only foster home with a middle aged Jindo as a calm, quiet companion. She does well on a leash and enjoys investigating as she goes on walks. Cate is eager to please and loves to cuddle with her person on a chair or sofa. She is also happy to hang out on her bed in her fosters office with her favorite teddy during working hours.
Cate is initially wary of new people and slow, gentle introductions are advised. She rarely barks and only as a protective response to a visitor at the door, or new human or canine encounter on walks. Cate responds well to voice commands and is trainable. She is also food motivated.
Because of her small size and fear of quick or noisy movements, Cate would do well in a calm, adult only household, especially one with another dog who can teach her the “rules of the house” and participate in appropriate non-aggressive play. Cate is happy to cuddle with other pets if they are gentle and receptive.
Cate is house trained and sleeps in her kennel at night with her favorite blanket and toy for company. She will alert by scratching on the sides when she needs to go potty in the middle of the night. She has not been left in her kennel for long periods during the day during her initial stay with her foster as her potty needs are a little unpredictable at this stage of her foster care.
Cate will be vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $450
We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Thank you for stepping up to save a life!
To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
