My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Philly arrived at Cat Network of Stanislaus with a leg injury that wasn't fixable. We were given the option of amputation or putting Philly to sleep. Of course we chose the first option. An amputation isn't a death sentence. Philly had a difficult recovery. Pain and discomfort and probably sadness over having to be confined in a crate kept him depressed. But with time, care, and patience, his sweet, chirpy, mischievous personality has come through. He isn’t an instant lap cat — but he is bright, curious, and unforgettable.

Philly has been raised by a household full of girls. He is used to pink snuggles and easy play. We're confident that when the right adopters meet him, it will be love at first sight. Philly is unforgettable in his snuggles.

That kind of transformation is only possible because of this community — and because donations give cats like Peppercorn the time they need to blossom.

Help us reach our $60,000 match goal and raise $120,000 for at-risk cats.

More about this rescue

We help strays and free-roaming cats live better lives by facilitating spay and neuter and vaccinations. Animal not suitable for living in the wild will be homed through our adoption program. Cat Network of Stanislaus is a 501(c)3 approved animal advocacy group. We primarily focus on feral and stray cats and serve our community so that they best can help these animals. Some cats that were found on the street end up becoming great pets. That is when they make it to this site. We take pride in the fact that we consider every animal worthy of rescuing regardless of age and medical needs. Some of our cats are special needs.
