My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lian — A Sweet, Friendly Puppy Looking for Her Forever Home!

Name: Lian

Age: 5 months

Sex: Spayed Female

Spayed: Yes

Breed: Mixed

Color: Brown/Black/White

Weight: 7.3kg

Height (shoulder): 39cm

Rescue Story

Lian entered the local Shelter with her mother and one sibling. Sadly, her sibling passed away from parvovirus. Lian survived and is now thriving, ready to find a loving family to grow up with.

‍‍ Socialization with People

Lian is extremely friendly and affectionate. She approaches both familiar and unfamiliar people, leans in for pets, and enjoys being touched.

She likes both men and women, and she gets along very well with children under 13. She can be picked up comfortably and even shows her belly for rubs, even to people she just met.

Socialization with Dogs

Lian is very social with other dogs — she greets both familiar and unfamiliar dogs enthusiastically and invites them to play.

She’s a bit clueless in a cute puppy way: even when another dog says “no,” she may keep asking to play and sometimes gets told off. But she never takes it to heart or gives up on making new friends! Her cheerful, determined little heart makes her absolutely irresistible.

She avoids conflict and walks away if another dog is rough or dominant.

Cats

No observed interactions yet, but a cat test can be arranged.

Energy Level

Moderate — playful outdoors but settles well afterward.

Walks

Lian doesn’t have much walking experience yet.

She may hesitate at first, but with encouragement she begins walking confidently.

She benefits from slow, patient walks while she builds confidence.

Busy roads and heavy traffic are still scary for her.

Other Behaviors

• No food guarding, though she has a healthy appetite

• Mild separation anxiety (normal for a young puppy)

• Whines when left alone or confined

• May bark when she wants attention or to be let out

• Uses both indoor and outdoor potty

• Crate training and independent sleeping may require patience and gradual training

If you think Lian could be the perfect fit for your family, please submit an application today

More about this rescue

Adopt Korean Rescue is a volunteer-based federally registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted dogs in South Korea find a new home in Canada.

We love Korean dogs. Many of them live in chains, give birth on the side of the road, or wander around with their pups. Some of them get caught and end up at dog meat farms or high-kill shelters in South Korea. They luckily meet us just before euthanasia or after many years of living in dog meat farms. We exist to hold their paws and help them find a forever home in Canada full of joy and happiness.

Our dog rescue work depends on our flight volunteers. They help us safely bring our dogs from Korea to Vancouver or Toronto airports, where the dogs will find loving forever or foster homes.
