My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🌊 Meet Laguna! 🌊
🐶 1 year old • ~28–30 lbs
📄 DNA results 32% American Staffordshire Terrier, 19% Boston Terrier, 18% French Bulldog, 16% Miniature Bull Terrier, 15% Pitbull Terrier.

Laguna is a sleek, athletic, medium-sized girl with a shy heart and a whole lot of potential. 💙 If you like a dog to let you know when strangers have arrived Laguna is your girl! She recently spent a few weeks in a foster home, where we learned that she bonds quickly with her family—but she needs time and patience when meeting new people. Laguna isn’t the kind of dog who can be “forced” into greeting or being petted by strangers. Instead, she blossoms with gentle encouragement, consistency, and a calm environment that lets her build trust at her own pace.

Once she feels safe, Laguna is incredibly affectionate, sweet, and loyal. She loves being loved on, melts into attention, and wants to be near her person. She’s a tender-hearted girl learning that the world—and new people—don’t have to be scary. 💕

And yes… this girl can JUMP! 😅 Laguna has some serious hops but don’t worry—she’s never used this to escape a fence. It’s just her showing off her inner athlete! She’s also very jumpy when startled and sometimes asks to be held on walks for extra reassurance. The good news? Laguna is very food- and praise-motivated, which makes confidence-building so much easier.

💙 Dog Social Skills
Laguna is a phenomenal dog-play partner!
• Agile and versatile—she’ll run, wrestle, box, or match the other dog’s play style
• Tolerant and gentle, even if another dog knocks her over
• Wonderful with every dog she met:
Laguna would thrive in agility, fast-paced playgroups, or any fun activity that lets her stretch those legs and use her athleticism.

🐾 Other Notes:
• Can be shy with new people
• Sweet as can be once she trusts you
• Kennel clean—should transition well to house training
• Enjoys walks but zig-zags to keep your attention (adorable!)
• Loves affection
