Hi! I’m Zaida — my name means “to prosper” or “to grow” and that describes my journey perfectly.

My life hasn’t always been easy. My original owner passed away, and I suddenly found myself with family who kept me outside all the time. When I came into rescue, I didn’t really know what it meant to live inside a home or be part of a family. But wow… what an amazing new world I’ve discovered! Every day I’m learning and growing.

I love my people more than anything in the whole world. I’m a smart girl; I’m both praise & food-motivated, so training with me is truly fun. I’m eager to please, and I just want to make my humans proud. A consistent, confident owner would be best for me as I continue training. I am also potty trained!

I sleep quietly in my crate at night, but my foster mom is working with me on being comfortable in the crate during the day. I'm making great progress!

I love to go on walks! I am learning how to be the best girl on a leash. I don’t react to other dogs on walks at all!

I haven’t lived with children, but I’ve met several and been fine with them. I get jumpy when I’m excited. A home with older, dog savvy kids would be best for me.

Zaida's foster mom did a cat test and she did great and would probably be okay with a dog savvy cat with proper introductions!
