My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We would like to introduce you to Terry. Or as he likes to be called "Terrific Terry from Thailand".
This handsome guy was recently surrendered to our care by his owners. They had adopted Terry (as well as another kitty) back in 2021 through a rescue in Thailand.

Recently, Terry had been exhibiting dominant behaviour toward the other cat in the house (with whom he had lived peacefully for his whole life.) His owners became concerned for the safety of the other cat (who is much smaller than Terry) and asked for help rehoming Terry.

Terry is a lovely kitty. He is also a very strong and large-sized kitty. Terry loves to play and is VERY vocal. Terry has a voice like a Siamese cat. But he has a MUCH larger frame than what we normally think of as a Siamese cat. Despite his "tough guy" persona, Terry is also an absolute love who lies on his back for belly rubs! in his previous home here in Canada, Terry did have access to a large secure catio space. In his current foster home, he is contained as an indoor cat. Terry clearly would like to go back outside - but his foster doesn't have a secure outdoor space for him.

The PURRfect home for Terry would be as a single pet (definitely). Terry says that you wouldn't need any other pets, once you see how great he is. Given his size and strength, we would recommend that Terry be placed in an adult only home. Or potentially with cat-savvy teenaged children.

Terry is up to date on his vaccines (FVRCP and Rabies), has been treated for fleas and parasites, and tested for FIV / FeLV (negative results). If you would like to learn more about Terry or make an appointment to meet him, please reach out to us - info@catsofsaltspring.com / 236-508-2287
Terry CAN'T WAIT to meet you!

Go meet their pets

All of our cats and kittens are housed in foster homes on Salt Spring Island and Vancouver Island. Once we have approved an application and completed a telephone interview with an applicant, we set a meeting in the appropriate foster home.

We also hold adoption events to feature our adoptable cats and kittens both in Victoria (at Capital Cat Clinic) and on Salt Spring Island (at Whiskers Pet Store and Foxglove Farm and Garden Centre).
