Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sir Augustine "Gus" is a lovable guy with big green eyes! He loves people & food!
He is very 'chill' and relaxed. He enjoys window watching, basking in the sunlight, and being brushed. He is not dog reactive.
Sir Augustine was previously front paw declawed. He is now neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Gus also just got a dental cleaning! He's ready for a new family & a fresh start!
His recent story is a sad one. Gus was found as a stray. He was front declawed, but not neutered. Gus contracted F.I.V. He must be an inside-only cat due to being declawed and F.I.V.+
F.I.V. cats can live safely & happily with other cats as long as they do not fight/bite. F.I.V. cats can live safely & happily with dogs.
"The primary mode of transmission for FIV is through bite wounds from an infected cat. Casual, non-aggressive contact, such as sharing water bowls or mutual grooming, does not appear to be an efficient route of spreading the virus. As a result, cats in households with stable social structures where housemates do not fight are at little risk of acquiring FIV infections."
