My basic info
Breed
Labrador Retriever/Husky
Size
Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg) (when grown)
Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Biff is almost there but not really too. At least when we ask him to sit or pay attention. The shelter is a constant state of activity and Bigfoot is easily distracted. He has been through some crap both literally and metaphorically. He’s dirty and skinny. Biff still wears a bright smile. That is more than we can ask of him but people need to do better for our pets in all the ways. Biff needs better.
Chicago Animal Care and Control is located at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL, and is open from 12pm to 7pm daily. Walk-in visitors are welcome and helped on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are planning to adopt the day you visit, please plan to arrive before 5:30pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30pm will still be able to view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7pm.
All dogs will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption.
All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers).
We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s) to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s). Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
