My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Peepaw (think the grandpa from old Hollywood film)!

This elderly gent is everything you'd want from your own grandpa. He's kind, affectionate, gentle, and may even be hiding a Werther's Original in his vest pocket - right next to his trusty old pocket watch. He was known to look out for all the young cats at his colony, raising them up right and teaching them to look both ways before crossing the street. His trapper tried for years to get the colony caretakers to let him "retire" from outside life (or even bring him inside themselves). They finally agreed to him getting care when it became clear his arthritis was getting worse.

Now, after a few months of indoor TLC, monthly injections for his achin' joints, and a nice warm heating pad - he's able to jump to the top shelf of the cat tree and run around with the best of them. His coat has improved and he finally got the dental work he so desperately needed. He's had all four fangs removed, and as much as he tries to convince us he needs them, we haven't relented to getting him dentures yet. He is on a wet food only diet (no biting into whole apples in his near future), and a daily supplement called l-lysine for his general health.

The only catch is that he is FIV+ (which honestly isn't even a little bit of a deal - we encourage you to look up modern information on it), and there is slim to no chance of another cat actually catching it (as he doesn't have any teeth)!

If you were willing to give this old timer the retirement home he deserves, he will repay you with all the lap time, and drooly headbutts you can handle for his remaining time on this planet.

DOB: 9/12/17

All cats are altered, microchipped, dewormed and given age appropriate vaccinations.
