Hi! My name is Jax, and I’m a 4 year boxer/pit mix who weighs 50 lbs. I’m super sweet and absolutely love being around people. I’m very much a cuddle bug (and think I’m a lap dog). I’ve also been very happy playing with other dogs. Cats have not been my favorite though. Walks are one of my favorite things and I walk well on a leash. I also love running around in the yard and playing fetch with tennis balls. They’re cool, but my absolute favorite are stuffies that squeak. I can entertain myself with them but also will beg to play tug of war. I’m also super smart and already know sit, lie down, stay, crate, right, come, and paw. I’m energetic and active but also settle fast and am happy to cuddle or sleep in my bed. Although, I have separation anxiety and get stressed when alone, so I would do best in a home where I’m not alone for too long. Sometimes, I let out a light growl when a door opens into the house or a room. It seems like I do it out of caution, but immediately relax once I know who it is. I tend to be a little more weary of men than women in that regard. I currently sleep in my bed next to my foster mom’s bed, but should do fine in a crate in the room as well. If you would like to meet me, please call Teri at 630-897-7454. The adoption fee is $275.
