My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

✨ Meet Lilly ✨
This sweet 44 lb. Black Mouth Cur mix is ready to find her forever family! 💛 Lilly is the perfect mix of gentle and loyal — and she’s been blossoming into such a confident girl.
🌟 About Lilly:
🐾 Female, 44 lbs., 2 Years old

💉 Spayed, Microchipped, UTD on shots, 4DX negative

🚶 Walks great on leash (no pulling!)

🐶 Non-reactive to other dogs (but she can be a little shy/intimidated)

🐾 Uses a dog door & sleeps soundly in an open crate

🐕 Very scent-driven (she’ll lovingly collect your clothes in her crate!)

🍪 Takes treats politely

👧 Has lived with older children in her previous home

💕 Sweet, sensitive, and growing more confident every day

Lilly is looking for a patient, loving home where she can continue to come out of her shell and be cherished for the gentle, special girl she is. 🐶💫

More about this shelter

Hello! Thanks for checking us out. We are a 501-c3 non profit rescue and rehab service in Tucson, AZ

We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs from the streets of Mexico in cooperation with other animal rescue organizations in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Our shelter in Hermosillo, Sonora, Vidas Con Causa, currently has over 150 dogs. There, we provide medical care and a loving place for them to heal before coming to the US, then we foster and work on finding the perfect fit for adoption. You can also visit the available dogs at the rescue in Mexico. Our rescue partners spend a lot of time getting to know the dogs and we know MOST of their
perks and quirks!

We help special needs dogs, the amputees, the pregnant Pitties, the MexiMutts, those from small independent shelters who don't get much notice, the cancer patients. We provide round-the-clock care until these dogs are ready for rehoming.
