With a name like Booker Washington, you’d think I arrived in a limousine wearing a tiny bow tie, but nope, I came in pretty rough and still decided to light up the whole shelter anyway. Everyone calls me BW, and I’m the guy who beams the second someone walks up. I’ve done great with other dogs in playgroup, and I’m powered by snacks… lots of snacks. Car rides? Say the word and I’m in the backseat before you finish the sentence. Even after everything I’ve been through, I’m happy, hopeful, and ready for a family who loves a friendly, upbeat companion with a very fancy name!

Requirements for Adoption
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• In possession of a valid photo ID
• Allowed to have a pet where you live
• Must accurately complete our Adoption Questionnaire
• All dogs, cats and rabbits adopted from Maui Humane Society are spayed or neutered.
• Able to follow all county laws related to the animal.
• Able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide the training, medical treatment and proper care for the animal
