My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

JJ was in terrible condition when he arrived. He showed up as a stray with a neck would that would not heal (a good samaritan was feeding him). Our vet feels it was a chemical burn (possibly a reaction to a flea collar) that he wouldn't leave alone. A steroid shot, antibiotic shot, topical burn cream and a tube sock combo finally worked their magic. JJ still has a prominent scar on his neck which itches him sometimes but easily managed. Estimated to be around 3-5 years of age.

In spite of all his pain and trauma, JJ has been the most loving cat! The vets loved him and he has been wonderful through his treatments! JJ has a cute, stubby body and loves attention. Definitely a Volunteer favorite - he loves to play and loves tunnels!  JJ tolerates dogs and gets along best with the female cats in our cat room. Would be fine as a one and only where he could soak up all the lovin'. JJ has had enough of 'the wild' - indoor home only! Adoption $75. Please fill out our cat adoption application if you are interested in adding JJ to your family.

More about this rescue

CompAnimals Pet Rescue is a small not-for-profit "no kill" rescue. Our mission is to take in unwanted, abandoned or abused dogs, cats and other small pets; to place those we can in loving, permanent homes; and to provide a sanctuary for the animals whose age, health issues or temperament precludes them from adoption. Our dogs & cats are neutered, vaccinated and receive all necessary medical treatment beford being made available for adoption. Through our volunteers and outreach programs we educate the next generation about the importance of spay/neuter and giving a lifelong home to their pets. We hope to one day put ourselves out of business but until then we will continue to rescue regardless of breed, age or medical condition.
