My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

STORYBOOK THEMED KITTEN:  Approx. 2-3 months old / Approx. 2 lbs.  & growing

Hi, my name is Gretel!  I was living on my own with some other kitty friends, and we really needed a good home, so a good citizen was able to help us make our way to Mostly Mutts.  After spending a short time in a great foster home, I am now ready to find a loving home of my very own – perhaps with YOU!

• OTHER CATS/DOGS/KIDS:  I get along well with the kitties with whom I came to Mostly Mutts.  We co-exist well, so I may enjoy another kitty in my new home.  If you have a nice kitty at home who may enjoy a kitten friend, let’s meet! / It likely will depend on the dog, but if you have a kitty-friendly (or kitty-tolerant) doggie at home, we can probably be pals. / Children in my new home may be nice, since I am a playful kitten.  Best they are gentle and know how to handle a kitten, and – of course, let’s meet!

• PERSONALITY INFORMATION:  I am a bit more shy than my brother, but I am blossoming into a sweet kitten – with the love and patience of the volunteers.  I am sure to be playing with toys and collecting cuddles in no time!

• SKILLS/LITTER TRAINED STATUS:  I keep my area clean, as I am litter trained.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  Right now, I like having time to warm up to people on my own terms.  I’m getting more comfortable and enjoy spending time with my kitty roommates.  / I can’t think of any dislikes since I am a kitten, but I would not be happy if I did not get the love and attention all kitties deserve!

• MEDICAL:  I’ve started my kitten shots, but you must finish those for me as I grow. I am microchipped.  I'm not yet spayed due to my small size, but it is required and will be done as soon as I grow a little more.  Mostly Mutts will cover that cost with one of their approved vets in the North Metro Atlanta area, so local adoptions only.

I am looking for a great home with a loving family!  My adoption fee is $175.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:

Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!

Adoption Info:
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.

Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.

Thank you for your patience and support!

Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse
