My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Revel (ACCT-A-237924)! This handsome fella with a striking black and white coat was found as a stray and brought to us, described as super friendly right off the bat! The person who found him even said he thought he was a lap dog, snuggling right up in the car.

Revel's a playful and energetic boy who loves to go for walks, though he might pull a bit on the leash at first. A harness would be perfect for him! He's also extremely treat motivated, which makes training a breeze, but can be a bit snatchy. Open-palm feeding is the way to go with this guy! He's a goofy boy who loves to play bow and prance around, bringing smiles wherever he goes. Our team has been spoiling him with fun enrichment activities like frozen Kongs and scented Nylabones to keep him entertained.

Revel previously had a condition called "cherry eye" in both eyes. This is a prolapsed gland of the third eyelid, and the shelter has corrected it through surgery.

If you're looking for a loving, playful, and slightly goofy companion who's ready to bring a whole lot of joy into your life, Revel might just be the perfect match for you! Come meet him at ACCT Philly any day from 10am-6pm and see if you can resist his wiggling excitement and playful charm.

Additional Notes:
12/05/2025:
When I approached his kennel in isolation he immediately got wiggly and excited, he tried to push out the door when I opened it. Was able to leash him easily with a big loop. On leash, he pulls and is very excited to go for a walk. He is extremely treat motivated and very attentive to you when you have them. He is a little bit snatchy with taking them, however no concerns with giving them with an open palm. Took some pets from me overall and seemed very comfortable in my presence. Recommend a harness as he pulls moderately on leash. Did play bows and pranced around me a few times. Goofy boy!! When I brought him back into the isolation room he ran over to the crate the a little dog was in and put both paws up. Easily got him in the kennel after that and no issues unleashing.

12/03/2025:
BL Making Blue based on notes in SL and behaviors on walk sheet.

11/30/2025:
Brought back to exam room to get him a new cone. He was pulling hard in the room, heavy panting and he did lean into all handling. Very snatchy with treats, recommend not to hand him treats and to drop them.

11/24/2025:
Per finder, super friendly - laying on her daughter's lap in the car! Thinks he is a lap dog.
