My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, world! I’m Regina—a lovely brown tabby with soft markings. I was found on the south side of Chicago by a wonderful TNR partner, and now I’m hoping to find my very own royal throne… I mean, forever home!

I’m no Regina George—no drama here! I’m sweet, friendly, and love to make new friends. I’m playful and curious, especially when chasing my favorite string wand toy or watching the world from a sunny window. I also adore being brushed, purring loudly, and making biscuits—true queenly behavior, if I do say so myself.

I’m a little vocal when I’m hungry (hey, even queens need their snacks), but mostly I’m ready to share love, snuggles, and playful companionship with the human who will treat me like royalty. Could you be the one to crown me your forever kitty?

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
