My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Douglas, the shy little survivor💪

Just 9 months old, this ear-tipped boy started life as a stray and came to us scared, but not feral. When he’s truly frightened, he meows to communicate, which is how we knew there was a social kitten inside asking for help 🐾

Shelter life has been hard on him, but he’s been quietly making progress. He no longer panics in the playroom. With soothing energy and calm approach, allows gentle petting, and has discovered a love for hanging out on wall shelves where he can observe the world safely. When he feels comfortable, he’ll relax into head and ear massages and even lean in 💛

He’s still not comfortable being picked up and needs his hide box for transport, so he’ll need a patient, cat-savvy home that understands fearful cats and lets trust grow on his timeline. With time, consistency, and respect for his boundaries, this sweet boy has so much potential to blossom once he’s out of the shelter and into a calm home where he can finally exhale.
