Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Kona! Kona is a 5 year old male Husky looking for his forever home! Kona has quite a story, as he was brought to IL after losing his home in sunny Bonita Springs, FL. 🌞 After making his rounds through a few good hearted citizens homes in our area, he landed with us here at KCAC in hopes of finding his very own forever home! Kona is a sweet, good natured boy who is a nice, medium size (not too large, not too small!). He has lived with other dogs without issue, and it appears he would do ok with human children based on history and demeanor. Kona would likely prefer a home without cats. Kona appears housetrained! His adoption fee is $150 and he is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm negative. Please stop by the shelter to visit this sweet boy, and adopt! Call or email with any questions: 630-553-9256 or animalcontrol@kendallcountyil.gov

Kendall County Animal Control is the county agency responsible for enforcement of the state statutes governing rabies control in domestic companion animals. The State of Illinois requires that all dogs are vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian. Compliance with this law is monitored through the issuance of rabies tags for all dogs residing in the county. All dogs are required to wear their rabies tags when off of the owner's property. If a pet is lost, rabies tags also provide an excellent means of identifying your pet.
Kendall County Animal Control also enforces the county's ordinance that prohibits dogs from running at large in unincorporated residential subdivisions, investigates reports of animal bites, and will pick up contained stray dogs in unincorporated Kendall County during operating hours. Stray and owner released cats and dogs may also be brought to the facility during business hours. Cats and dogs are available for adoption at the facility.
