Meet the Pet
This helps Stone County Humane Society with pet care costs.
**Tex was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. He will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. He will be crate trained, learn manners and he will learn lots of tricks as well! Tex will be looking for a forever home before he graduates mid February, so if you are interested in meeting him, please contact us. Read more about him below…
Tex is a character! He is a Husky but with wire hair, so we think he has some Airedale Terrier in him. One of ears is always up, the other down. He really is an amazing dog, very smart and sweet. He is housetrained and super friendly with people and other animals. We learned he is an escape artist - he broke out of his pen and jumped over a 6 foot fence! We realized he just needed time to settle in and he also wanted to be near people. He is a very socialized dog and loves to be with people. He would do great in an active home with a big family or with people who will take him everywhere with them. He would be a great adventure buddy. Tex is learning not to jump up on people. Other than that, he is a great dog. If you would like more information, please contact our shelter at 870-269-5200 or go to our website at schspets.org and complete an adoption application and someone will contact you for a meet and greet.
