Hi there, I’m Sylvia — your future treat connoisseur and professional love-tap giver!
If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind beauty, look no further, I’m your girl. I rock the most unique black-and-white tuxedo markings you’ll ever see. Seriously, there’s no other cat out there with a pattern quite like mine. Add in my deep amber eyes and my delightfully round figure, and I’m basically irresistible (or so I’ve been told).
But let me tell you a little secret… I wasn’t always this confident and cuddly.
When I first arrived at the sanctuary, I was feral, afraid, and spent most of my time perched on something the humans call “the spice rack.” It took a lot of time, patience, and soft voices before I learned that hands can be gentle and love can be safe. And now? Oh, now I love being petted. Like… LOVE love it. Lean-in, slow-blink, purr-machine level love. If you stop too soon, I’ll reach out with a little love tap to let you know I’m definitely not done yet.
I’m a total treat fiend too, I meow loud and proud when it’s treat time, and I wait (mostly) patiently for the goodies to arrive. I also enjoy curling up in cozy cat beds with my feline friends and batting around a good catnip toy or two. Or three. Don’t judge.
I’ve come a long way, but I still need a family who understands that trust is something I give slowly, gently, and in my own time. But I promise… I’m worth every minute of the wait. Once I love you, I really love you.
If you think we might be a good match, come meet me! I’d love a visit. You can stop by the sanctuary any day between 1–5 PM — yes, even holidays.
Love,
Sylvia
I have excellent litter box habits. My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat.
I am fully vetted: spayed, microchipped, FIV & FeLV negative, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations. I had a dental recently, so my teeth are all sparkly clean! I require an indoor-only home and, as with all cats — absolutely no declawing.
If you are interested in adopting Sylvia, please message us on Facebook at Furball Farm Cat Sanctuary or email us at FurballFarmCatSanctuary@gmail.com

Items purchased at PetSmart in Faribault can be left at the store and they will contact us for pick up. We appreciate any help we can get and so do the cats!!! Thank you!!

Their adoption process
Additional adoption info
Our goal is to be a sanctuary for cats who are not adoptable and to find loving homes for those who are. We welcome you to visit our sanctuary to snuggle with our furballs. You may even end up going home with one...or two!!!
You always need to remember our cats come with baggage. Lots of them were treated badly by people and it has taken time for them to trust us. They may need to come out of their shells once you adopt them. You need to give them time to see you are not going to hurt them. We love our Furballs and want good homes for all of them. Please remember it is all about the cats for us.
We only adopt out our Furballs to people within 2-3 hours of our sanctuary because of the baggage they come with. This does not include some of the cats in foster care (contact their foster parents for more information).
