Blueberry is a sensitive 7-year-old girl who's having a tough time adjusting to the shelter. This noisy, unfamiliar place feels scary to her, so she may bark at people who linger in front of her kennel. Once outside, she's getting better on walks, but it still takes some gentle coaxing and encouragement to help her take those first steps.
Blueberry needs a patient, understanding adopter who can give her the time and reassurance she needs to feel safe, supported, and confident as she settles into a new home. With kindness and consistency, this fearful girl has so much potential to blossom.
While she hasn't attended playgroups yet, we have found that living with another dog-especially one who is calm, confident, and steady-could help her tremendously and provide the comforting guidance she craves.
Blueberry is ready for someone to believe in her.
If you're interested in learning more about her, please reach out to our volunteer matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Blueberry 264921".
She is already spayed and up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and is microchipped. If you have cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Primary Color: Blue Secondary Color: White Weight: 48.5 Age: 7yrs 1mths 2wks
