- Background: Wookie was found as a stray and brought to LC4, but sadly no one came to reclaim him. Now he’s eager for a fresh start with a family of his own.
- Age & Breed: About 2 years old, a Scottish Terrier mix, weighing in at just 14 pounds.
- Personality: Smart, affectionate, and devoted. Wookie is house‑trained, would love to be your one‑and‑only (no other dogs or cats), and would be best in a home with kids over the age of 15. Oh, and he dances!
- Favorite Things: He absolutely LOVES being held and would happily spend all day curled up in your lap if you let him.

We are currently foster-based. Meet our pets online, fill out an application & when approved we will set up a time to meet them.
We also have cats in the windows at Petsmart on Monroe Street ( 5241 Monroe St, Toledo, OH 43623 ) they can view throughout the week and we have events on Sundays from 4-6 there.

Our mission is to provide temporary and long-term shelter and vet care for homeless dogs and cats. To promote animal welfare education, reduce the overpopulation with a mandatory spay/neuter program, promote adopting vs buying from a breeder, provide necessary veterinary care, and we value our "no-kill" policy unless medically/behaviorally necessary. Every animal deserves a chance.
