Longhair Adriana is beautiful to look at – such a gentle soul that is still learning to trust. It’s been a joy to watch her slowly acclimate to a safe indoor life. She loves sitting in her tall cat tree looking out the window. She is such a calm and obliging lady. Her foster mom can gently pet Adriana in the cat tree, but once she’s happily free roaming with her fluffy tail high in the air, she prefers to stay close and follow you like a puppy rather than to be picked up and petted. It’s a matter of building trust with her. She also loves to sprawl on the living room floor and just hang out while her foster mom watches TV. To help Adriana build more confidence and trust, she needs to be paired with a friendly outgoing kitty or two so she can learn from them. She loves other cats and gets along beautifully with a resident kitty in her foster home. Her behavior stems from her early life spent in an outdoor enclosure with 8 other kittens. It was a scary, damp and dark world for several months. We rescued them all when they were adolescents. However, in a safe, clean, quiet, cat savvy household, she will blossom even further. You can meet Adriana in her Ambler foster home.

Additional adoption info
During review of the application if you rent your home, we confirm with your landlord that you are allowed to have the cat per your lease.
We also consider if a particular cat is a good fit for your home. Certain cats will do better in homes without small children, or without other cats. Other cats may need to be adopted with a cat that they are bonded with. So we make sure that the cat and the home are a good match before completing an adoption.
Some of our fosters allow trial adoptions, where you would have 2-3 weeks to make sure that the cat being adopted was accepted by the other pets in your home. If you are interested in this, please ask your Adoption Representative.
All cats adopted from Stray Cat Blues have been screened for feline leukemia and FIV, inoculated, sterilized and wormed when they first come to us. Additional vet work is completed for those cats that require additional care. Healthy, adoptable cats and kittens are then housed through our network of foster homes until they are adopted.
You are also welcome to come visit cats at our PetSmart Collegeville and PetSmart North Wales/Montgomeryville locations (see times for adoption showings). If you see a cat there that you like, you can complete an adoption application there in person.
Questions - email us at: contact@straycatblues.org. We are happy to answer general questions, and also put you in touch with the foster families for questions about specific cats.
Adoption Fees:
• $150 - Kittens up to one year of age
• $100 - For cats over one year and up to 7 years of age
• $70 - For cats 7 years of age and over.
All fees are subject to Pennsylvania's 6% sales tax and a minimum of $5 or 5% service fee.
Fees for cats with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee reduction.
