Adriana’s perfect adopter is an experienced cat person who can take her to the next level of friendliness. This young, long hair beauty is luscious to look at. She is a very gentle soul that has come a long way from her early scary days in a dark, damp, and dreary outdoor enclosure. She’s been in her foster home for nearly a year and can now calmly stroll through the house with a happy tail without running for cover at the slightest movement or noise. When she’s resting on the top shelf of her cat tree, her foster mom can pet and brush her and gently reassure her. She’s still not totally sure but reluctantly allows it. With Adriana it’s all about building trust. Her adopter needs to be someone who understands cat behavior, lives in a quiet home, and is willing to give her the time she needs to be comfortable with no expectations of cuddling or being a lap cat. A friendly cat buddy or two would be a huge help. Watching the resident cats in her foster home get brushed, petted and fussed over has helped Adriana tremendously. Her foster mom uses a house call vet that works with semi-friendly cats like Adriana who is not a fan of being picked up and put into a carrier. If you have the necessary experience and patience with cats like Adriana and the love to give her, please apply for her and come meet her in her Ambler foster home. Her foster mom only adopts to true non-smokers and non-vapers.

Additional adoption info
During review of the application if you rent your home, we confirm with your landlord that you are allowed to have the cat per your lease.
We also consider if a particular cat is a good fit for your home. Certain cats will do better in homes without small children, or without other cats. Other cats may need to be adopted with a cat that they are bonded with. So we make sure that the cat and the home are a good match before completing an adoption.
Some of our fosters allow trial adoptions, where you would have 2-3 weeks to make sure that the cat being adopted was accepted by the other pets in your home. If you are interested in this, please ask your Adoption Representative.
All cats adopted from Stray Cat Blues have been screened for feline leukemia and FIV, inoculated, sterilized and wormed when they first come to us. Additional vet work is completed for those cats that require additional care. Healthy, adoptable cats and kittens are then housed through our network of foster homes until they are adopted.
You are also welcome to come visit cats at our PetSmart Collegeville and PetSmart North Wales/Montgomeryville locations (see times for adoption showings). If you see a cat there that you like, you can complete an adoption application there in person.
Questions - email us at: contact@straycatblues.org. We are happy to answer general questions, and also put you in touch with the foster families for questions about specific cats.
Adoption Fees:
• $150 - Kittens up to one year of age
• $100 - For cats over one year and up to 7 years of age
• $70 - For cats 7 years of age and over.
All fees are subject to Pennsylvania's 6% sales tax and a minimum of $5 or 5% service fee.
Fees for cats with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee reduction.
