My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

#A5734059 Meet Wong Wong , a stunning 4-year-old German Shepherd with a velvety black-and-tan coat, a dazzling smile, and the perkiest ears - one always adorably cocked to the left. Regal and elegant, he’s everything Shep lovers adore, and he’s as whip-smart and alert as they come. With his big brain and playful spirit, Wong Wong thrives with a confident leader who can guide him and help channel his energy into something productive through advanced training, vigorous exercise, or even a job. He’s fully potty trained and knows commands like sit and shake , though a little leash refresher will help him shine even more. Friendly and playful with other dogs, he could be an amazing companion to any pups you already have at home. If you’re ready for a brilliant, loyal, and active best friend, Wong Wong is waiting to impress you!

-4 year old brown and black German Shepherd

-85 pound neutered male

-up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today! However, Wong Wong does have a little lump on his right hip that might need to be checked out - he will need to be adopted on a health waiver just to be safe, with adopter to follow up with own vet for further diagnostics and potential treatment

-came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 10/20/25 as an owner surrender - but we have no notes and no idea why, as Wong Wong is delightful!

-high energy level and dominant personality, so will need a strong leader willing to provide the necessary structure and exercise or activity needed to keep Wong Wong happy and healthy

-great with other dogs, playful and friendly’

-already potty trained and good with basic commands, but could use a quick leash refresher

More about this rescue

United Hope for Animals is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to creating a world where our relationship with animals is guided by compassion and responsibility. We actively work toward bringing an end to the needless suffering of companion animals through community-based programs here at home and across the border.

The United States euthanizes more than one million dogs and cats each year. Through our Shelter Support Program, we work in partnership with local shelters to reduce this number by raising public awareness about shelter adoption and facilitating rescue and adoption of sheltered animals. In the process, we bring dignity and hope to the many lives that would otherwise pass anonymously through the animal control system.
