What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
This is one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever made. Our 7-year-old purebred Australian Shepherd has been part of our family since day one, but we’re moving overseas next spring to a small, staircase apartment with no yard, and with the upcoming career demands on us as a military family, we know he wouldn’t get the space, consistency, or freedom he deserves. This choice breaks our hearts, but we truly believe it’s what’s best for him right now.
He’s healthy, neutered, vaccinated, house-trained, and wonderful with kids. He’s sweet, affectionate, playful, smart, loyal, and cuddly—the kind of dog who just wants to be by your side and included in family life.
We’re looking for a loving home with room to play or someone who enjoys regular walks, adventures, and giving lots of affection. We’re not in a rush—finding the right, stable home matters most.
