AND he LOVES his toys! Poor Hamburgler never had toys of his own, but now that he has figured them out…he just LOVES to chase them down, toss them in the air, and romp around the yard. He also likes to build a little stash of toys – hence his name. If you bring this little bandit a new toy, you might just find you have a friend for life! Hambugler is learning leash manners, is people and dog friendly, and is just starting to learn basic commands. Our adoption fees must be paid at Metter City Hall. The fees are $40.00 for dogs and $20.00 for cats. A discount letter is provided for all adopted animals to be altered by participating Veterinarians. All animals will need to be altered within 30 days of adoption. A contract must be signed to complete adoption. Adopter assumes full responsibility of vet care.

Our mission is to find long lasting homes for unwanted pets. The Metter Animal Shelter has been here for over 40 yrs. We have a full time Animal Control Officer, Animal Shelter Caretaker, and volunteers that work in the shelter.
