My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the shy, but also very sweet, Dove. Dove came to TCR with her mother, her three brothers, and two other kittens that seemed to have joined her litter. She is a beautiful, completely white, mini version of her mom, Stork, and they are completely identical in appearance other than in size. Dove was always one of the smallest kittens out of her siblings and definitely the most timid... probably because she has many crazy siblings. She is slowly getting braver and loving attention more and more as she gets older. Dove has always been okay with being picked up and snuggled, but she usually gets a bit wiggly after a while. She can also be easily spooked still sometimes by loud noises and new people. Dove will need an adopter who can be patient with her and help her continue to come out of her shell.

Dove is more laid back than the average kitten, but she’s still young and energetic. She enjoys playing with toys and with her siblings, Finch, Sparrow, Starling, and Crow. She also has grown very attached to one of the older and also more timid, adult cats in her foster home, Draco. She loves to snuggle with him and he will even gently wrestle with her sometimes. Because Dove is still quite young and energetic, she must be adopted by a family with another cat already OR with another cat from her foster home. Dove would LOVE to be adopted with her friend Draco if someone is looking for a beautiful, all-black-and-white pair and is willing to be patient with them and gain their trust. She would also be okay with being adopted with one of her siblings. Because Dove can still be a bit shy and cautious, she would do best in a family with no children or children who are older, calmer, and can learn her boundaries and gain her trust.

Dove is roughly five months old. She has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Apply for this beautiful lady little (and maybe a friend for her as well) today!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
