Meet SallyMae—a gentle, beautiful senior lady looking for calm and comfort.
At 14, SallyMae has lived a full life, including surviving a house fire that took her beloved owner. She was found completely unharmed, but her world has been shaken, and she’s adjusting with remarkable patience and sweetness.
SallyMae is an easy, loving companion. She adores warm laps, soft brushes (tummy excluded!), and cozy naps. She’s deaf—which actually keeps her calm—and has an old knee injury that doesn’t slow her down. She has zero bad habits: no counter surfing, no inappropriate scratching, just quiet affection.
She’d thrive in a peaceful home, ideally with an older adult, where she can build her nest of fluffy blankets, nap in warm sunbeams or by the fire, and keep a gentle eye on her person.
If you want a mellow, easy-going lap cat with lots of love to give, SallyMae is your girl.

Your application simply shows that you are interested in an animal; it is not a binding contract.
Meet the Pet
Your chosen animal’s foster home will reach out to you to discuss the pet you are interested in. If applicable, schedule a meet and greet!
Sign Adoption Contract
An Applications team member will send the electronic adoption contract to you to be signed. They will also request adoption fee payment.
Take the Pet Home
Once adoption agreement and payment are complete, you take your new pet home!
