Introducing Charlie! This loveable min pin/chi mix came to DASH with several other small dogs when his owner went into a nursing home. He is currently in our DASH Prison Program where his handler says he is super chill and loves being held and being in a lap. He likes going for walks, but still needs some work on his leash manners, is crate trained and housetrained, if kept on a schedule. His new family will need to continue with his training so he can be the best family member he can be. Charlie has a grade 3/6 heart murmur, but does not need any medication for it. He l oves attention from people and gets along with other dogs, he's just not that interested in playing with them. He'd rather play with his toys. He cannot be in a home with cats. He is working on his basic commands as well and has mastered sit and down very quickly. He is very affectionate and sweet, but in the prison setting seems to be a little sensitive to loud noises. He has not been kid tested, but feel older children would be fine. He is ready to find his forever and ever home.
