Little Debbie is a sweet and calm girl. She likes to spend her time napping in her cat bed or sitting on the couch with her human. When it's bed time, she'll curl up in bed with you and sleep. She loves under-the-chin scratches, climbing up on high places (the higher the shelf, the better) and sitting on the one thing you've set down for a moment. She's super easy going and is content on her own as well as spending time with people. If you want a furry couch potato, Little Debbie is the cat for you.

We have worked hard to make our adoption process as easy as possible. We like to think of the process in four steps: application, phone conversation, meet and greet and adoption day. We will get back to applicants within a few days even if they were not chosen.

All of our animals are in foster homes. To meet an animal please fill out our adoption application and we will get back to you to schedule a meet and greet if it seems it could be a good fit.

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.
Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
