Tiny Dancer is a very shy and delicate young cat with a gentle soul.
She was found with two kittens of her own when she was barely out of kitten-hood. She came to us weighing only five pounds, which inspired her name. When she gets nervous, she has a habit of lightly “dancing” away from people, which only made the name fit even more.
She does well with calm, low-energy dogs, but active or excitable dogs can be too much for her. She is okay around cats, but because she has been diagnosed with calicivirus she truly needs a home with no other cats. She has not been around children, though she might adjust to older, gentle kids who understand how to give her space.
Tiny Dancer is sweet at heart. Once she feels safe, she will come out of hiding to be social in her own quiet way. She may never be a full cuddle bug, but she will let people pick her up and happily accept affection on her terms. She has ongoing dental issues, so she has not been spayed yet while we work to keep her healthy and avoid any risk of secondary infection.
She needs a patient and supportive forever home, one that gives her plenty of space and cozy hiding spots where she can feel secure. With kindness and time, Tiny Dancer will reward her person with trust, sweetness, and a soft presence that fills a home in her own small but meaningful way.
