My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

Wonder tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Due to the behavior shown, he may not be a great fit for young children.

A volunteer writes: Wonder's guardian passed away in September and he'd been waiting in the apartment since then. We don't know what his days and nights looked like, but they couldn't have been easy as it seems the last few months have really done a number on his precious confidence. Brought to us by the police, Wonder still hasn't really been found. He sits flattened like a pancake on top of his perch as he continues to watch the days pass him by. I tried to gently help him reorganize his self-imposed schedule by offering some pets and treats but alas, he wasn't particularly open to any of it at the time. We're still looking for something that will brighten his day and though we haven't found it yet, we know a forever family is right around the corner.
