My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

# A5737526 Iris

Meet Iris!
-2 years old • Female
- Domestic Medium Hair Calico
-Stray intake • 5.9 lbs on Nov 8
-Microchipped & vaccinated
- Needs a health waiver
- Not yet spayed
-Housed with Cindy , who appears to be her baby

Say hello to Iris , a breathtaking long-haired calico with one of the most beautiful coats you’ll ever see. Her fur is soft, flowing, and full of warm calico colors — and her personality is just as lovely.

Iris is:
- Very friendly
- Super sweet
- Extremely easy to handle
- Gentle and calm
- A wonderful mama figure to little Cindy

This sweet girl came in as a stray and has been nothing but graceful and affectionate. She’s microchipped and vaccinated, and though she does need a health waiver , staff will explain everything. She is not yet spayed, but that will be taken care of through the shelter process.

Iris and Cindy clearly adore each other — Iris is protective, loving, and patient. She would thrive in a home where she can keep blossoming, preferably with her baby if someone can take them together.

If you want a stunning, gentle, affectionate feline companion, Iris is your girl.

Please share to help Iris (and hopefully Cindy!) find their forever home.

More about this rescue

United Hope for Animals is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to creating a world where our relationship with animals is guided by compassion and responsibility. We actively work toward bringing an end to the needless suffering of companion animals through community-based programs here at home and across the border.

The United States euthanizes more than one million dogs and cats each year. Through our Shelter Support Program, we work in partnership with local shelters to reduce this number by raising public awareness about shelter adoption and facilitating rescue and adoption of sheltered animals. In the process, we bring dignity and hope to the many lives that would otherwise pass anonymously through the animal control system.
