Rocky is a happy, social guy who truly enjoys being around people. He eagerly seeks interaction, approaches with a loose, friendly demeanor, and is always ready for attention—often leaning in to soak it up. Rocky is very easy to handle, leashes and unleashes without issue, and willingly enters and exits his kennel while following handler direction. Rocky has a higher energy level and thrives on activity, especially playtime. Fetch is absolutely his love language—he happily drops the ball and brings it right back, showing both enthusiasm and good manners. He’s attentive, responsive, and quick to show off his solid sit command. Volunteers describe him as easy to walk, well-mannered, and an all-around fantastic dog. Having spent time in foster, Rocky may simply be extra excited in the shelter environment, and his energy could balance out nicely with a structured routine. ADOPTION PROCESS:
ADOPTIONS MUST BE MADE IN PERSON at Fort Worth Chuck Silcox Animal Care and Control OR the specified PetSmart location. Please refer to the pet you are interested by their animal ID number; not their stated name. Adopters will be asked to complete an adoption application and provide valid ID showing that they are at least 18 years old.
The adoption fee is $49.00 for dogs and $25.00 for cats. The fee includes vaccinations, a city license, spay/neuter, a microchip and a heartworm test. The shelter will not release the adopted pet until after it has provided these services. Exceptions may be granted due to age, health or injury.
