She came to us in very rough shape—tired, scared, and clearly carrying the weight of a difficult past. Despite everything she has been through, Holly has held onto something incredibly special: her sweetness. She is a shy girl at first, especially with new people or unfamiliar situations, but with patience and kindness she begins to open up. Once Holly feels safe, she shows her loving and gentle nature, leaning in for quiet affection and soft reassurance. Holly is looking for a calm, patient household where she can continue to heal and grow. She would do best in a quieter home with adults or older teens who can move at her pace and help her learn that the world can be a safe place. She is friendly with other dogs, but she prefers the company of laid-back pups who won’t overwhelm her with too much energy. Because of her sensitive personality, a home without young children or cats will be the most comfortable fit for her. Macomb County Animal Control will verify proper preventative care history of past/current pets and verify home ownership/review a pet policy

Approve Application
Once an application is approved the adoption coordinator will schedule a time with the applicant/family to meet the pet.

Sign Adoption Contract
If a meet-and-greet is successful the family has an opportunity to finalize the adoption.

Pay Fee
Each pet has an established adoption fee and payment can be accepted in the form of credit/debit, check or cash.
