My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Reese is a large-breed mix who came to the shelter skin and bones, unsure of the world. He can be nervous when meeting new people — especially tall people — but offer him a treat and he becomes your instant best friend!

Reese is learning new skills every day, but he’ll need a patient home to help him realise the world isn’t so scary. Because of his past, he can be a bit grabby with food and does have some separation anxiety, but with a steady routine and an owner who will advocate for him, he’s expected to thrive.

If you’re looking to make a real difference for a dog with a huge heart, Reese is ready to meet you.

Additional adoption info

*Please note that walk-in appointments are welcomed and encouraged, and will be prioritized over online applications.

Come into the Centre and if you see a pet you like, you are able to do a "Meet and Greet" with that pet. Spend some time in alone with the pet or take a dog out for a short walk. If you are still interested in adopting the pet you can meet with one of our Adoption Counsellors who will have you fill out and application and will ask you some questions about the environment in which you live. If you seem like a wonderful match and your environment meets the needs of the pet then your application should be approved!
