What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
My mother-in-law was given two female puppies, Cici & Luna, when they were 1 week old (last January 2025). She is in her 70s and is now having memory issues and her health has declined rapidly. She cannot take care of these dogs. She has them in the backyard full time and they have not been socialized, trained, or visited a vet.
Despite this they are very sweet dogs and have been friendly to us and our kids (ages 8 and 12) during our visit from California this week. While we are here for Thanksgiving we would like to rehome the dogs to help them potentially find a loving family rather than staying in the backyard with little care.
Because they bark, in our short time visiting several neighbors have come by the house saying they will call animal control. We would like to help resolve the issue by surrendering them to a shelter or foster.
