History and A Note from the Foster: Hi, I’m Teddie! I’m almost 12 years young and on the lookout for a very special adopter—someone who will love me exactly as I am.
For the first eight years of my life, I was used only for breeding, and I wasn’t in great shape. But then my foster mom and an amazing rescue stepped in, cleaned me up, and gave me all the care I needed. Four years ago, my last rotten teeth were removed—but don’t worry, I eat everything just fine! Kibble, canned food, crunchy treats… if it’s food, I’m in. Since I have no teeth, my tongue likes to hang out, which everyone says is pretty adorable.
When I was first rescued, I was terrified of everything. I’ve come a long way, but I still startle easily—especially since I can’t hear. I’d be happiest in a calm, quiet home where life moves at an easy pace. I’m learning that pets and snuggles are wonderful, but I’m more of a “sit nearby” kind of girl during the day (though at night, I love to snuggle in bed—our little secret!).
I’m even starting to warm up to visitors and will sometimes ask for attention, as long as they’re gentle and patient. I’m also making great progress with potty training. I do have a routine—meals first, then #2—so someone who understands my schedule will help me succeed.
If you’re kind, patient, and have a big heart for a little dog with a lot of love to give, I just might be your girl. I’m ready to spend my golden years with someone who will cherish me forever. ❤️
