Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tofurkey is a petite panther who still has the playfulness of a kitten without the rambunctious mishaps. She is very good at independent play with her toys, especially ones she can bat around or toss in the air. And she loves her scratching pad.
She has a normal appetite with no pickiness between wet or dry food and is good about not trying to get into people food (except for chicken, she is very intrigued by chicken).
She greets her foster parents with a happy tail, head butts and an adorable `murmur` of a mew and while she seeks out attention she can be flinchy and is best approached with a slow, gentle hand from in front. She loves her chin scritches but can be reserved with other areas and will communicate her preferences with an occasional light nip (nothing aggressive). Not one to lay on laps but enjoys being next to you. She opts to sleep on the couch instead of her parents` bed.
The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more.
Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information.
** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. We appreciate you`re understanding and patience.
